Hi! We’re the McLeods.

My name is Kelsey McLeod, the voice behind The Hold Fast Ranch. I am a 28 year old living in the beautiful Pacific Northwest with my husband and two German Shorthaired Pointers. I work from home for a non-profit organization, and have my degree in Education. I love trashy TV, scouring Pinterest for new recipes, and obsessively taking pictures of my dogs. 

That handsome guy? He’s my husband Randy. The brains and brawn behind all of our home projects. He works in Construction Management, and we met in college. We got married on September 8, 2018 and have been together since 2014. In our spare time we love camping, fishing, singing Granger Smith at the top of our lungs, and hitting up local breweries. 

So what’s the Hold Fast Ranch? When we bought our first home two years ago, we had NO clue what to expect. A fixer upper on five undeveloped acres, the possibilities were endless, but our budget was not. We’ve managed to tackle home projects little by little, utilizing Randy’s AMAZING handyman skills, and my obsession with Pinterest.

As we slowly wrap up home updates, we’re moving into developing our property as a self-sustainable homestead. It’s a slow process, full of lessons, fails, and triumphs. Join us as we share our stories of raising animals, gardening, growing hops (did I mention we live in the hop-growing capital of the world?) and living off our land. We’re so glad you’re joining us on our journey from turning our undeveloped property into a space we plan on creating memories for our friends and family, the Hold Fast Ranch.
